Project Kandwar is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of poverty stricken villages into modern communities. Our organizational goal is to mobilize human, material and financial resources, both public and private, from Canada, the world, and India to help the villages of India lift themselves out of poverty. Development will be approached in a comprehensive, collaborative, and concentrated manner.
Project Kandwar’s efforts will focus on creating sustainable jobs that provide adequate income above the poverty line and on improving the standard of living through provision of primary health care, primary education, and modern infrastructure. This is done by empowering the powerless be they women, dalit (formerly known as the Untouchables), landless, or poor.
